Hi! I am F. Javier Sáez-Maldonado - but please, call me Javier.

I am currently pursuing a PhD under the supervision of Rafael Molina Soriano and Pablo Morales Álvarez. My research interests include probabilistic modelling (specially Gaussian Processes) and generative modelling for Out-of-distribution detection. I apply these techniques to solve medical problems.

I hold a Bsc in Mathematics and a Bsc in Computer Science, both from the University of my hometown Granada (aka, the best city in the world). Also, I received a MsC in Data Science at Autonomous University of Madrid, where I developed my interest in probabilistic modelling.

Outside research, you’ll probably find me tasting as many coffees as possible ☕ or playing Magic: The Gathering.
